Frosty Copy-Cat

My daughter had a sleepover this week and they wanted frosties; since it is a 15 minute drive to get to a Wendy's from our house...I decided to try to figure out how to make one for them from stuff in the kitchen.  It was pretty close.

Ingredients:
4 cups vanilla ice cream
3/4 cup milk
chocolate milk syrup

Directions:
Put all ingredients in the blender and blend until smooth.  I kept adding the chocolate until I had the frosty color.  The girls loved them. EASY!

Apple Dumpling Bake

If you want to blow people away with a yummy dessert then you must try this recipe. I have been making these for a couple years & people just love them. They are so simple to make but taste like you slaved over them for hours. It will be our "little" secret.

Ingredients
2 tubes refrigerated crescent rolls
2 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled & cored
1 c sugar
1/3 c butter or margarine, melted
3/4 c Mountain Dew soda
Ground cinnamon
Vanilla Ice Cream

Directions

Unroll crescent rolls & separate into 16 triangles. Cut each apple into 8 wedges. Wrap a crescent dough triangle around each apple wedge. Place in a greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish. In a bowl, combine sugar & butter; sprinkle over "rolls". Slowly pour the soda around the rolls. Do not stir. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake, uncovered at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream!

Ice Cream

I just love ice cream! The best snack in the world is a big bowl of ice cream with some sort of peanut butter. Since I was a little girl I have melted peanut butter in the microwave to pour over vanilla ice cream. Yep, that's right. Spoon out as much peanut butter as you want & microwave for 30 seconds. Pour over the ice cream. If you love peanut butter then I have just introduced you to your next 5 pounds!!! You can also pick up an awesome peanut butter sundae at Bruster's :)

Today was my son's end of the year party for his Kindergarten class. We had ice cream sundaes. I found the CUTEST bowls & spoons on Oriental Trading. They were a hit. We let each child take home their bowl & spoon. They make a great party favor.
