Gingerbread Cookies

Shhhh.... I have a secret. I think you will like this one. We love making gingerbread cookies & I wanted to share our recipe.

Pillsbury refrigerated gingerbread cookie dough (I did 3-18 oz rolls)
Leftover royal icing from your gingerbread house kit

Roll out the cookie dough on a floured surface. Cut out the gingerbread men with cookie cutters. Bake as directed. Ice with the royal icing in your gingerbread house kit. And if you do both on the same day, you won't even have to worry about your icing drying out in the icing bag. You can decorate the cookies with candies. I let the kids do that with their own & then the rest just get a simple icing decoration (as shown below).
