Blackberry Cobbler

In my little world there is nothing better than fresh picked blackberries. I have fond memories of picking blackberries in the woods behind our house. We never did anything with them except eat them until our bellies ached. But we had a neighbor who baked the best blackberry pie in the world. We loved visiting Joyce to see what she was baking. When we came home from vacation this weekend we stopped at Lane Packing (as we always do) & loaded up with peaches, corn, tomatoes, blueberries & blackberries. I just had to make a cobbler with those yummy berries. Here is my recipe & yes, it was awesome!

Ingredients
1/2 c butter
2 c self-rising flour
2 c sugar
2 c milk
3 1/2 c blackberries

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Once oven temperature is reached melt butter in a 9x13 inch baking pan. In a medium bowl stir together the flour, sugar and milk; batter will be slightly lumpy. Pour mixture on top of melted butter in baking pan. Do not mix butter and mixture together. Drop blackberries into batter; if more crust is desired add less blackberries. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
